RainbowSix

Extraction

Quarantine is a three coop player tactical shooter base on a PVE experience in the RainbowSix universe.

The Rainbow Operators will face off against a totally new breed of mutated alien parasite. Infecting human hosts and their surroundings, this new enemy is more lethal and challenging than ever before. Prepare to launch into tense, chaotic and totally unpredictable missions as you and your squad risk everything, every time you step into Quarantine.

During the development of quarantine, I spent half of my working time on the framework side, by improving the GUI systems and make them friendly user for programmers and artists, and the other half on features implementation.

My biggest success on that project was the way I was able to bring the Gui atomization concept from web design into the AAA video game production pipeline. It brings more stable and more agile UI into the game. With the atomic design, the iteration process is way more enjoyable and efficient.

Another success was the full revamp of the input interaction system from the UI internal Ubisoft tools to allow more coherent navigation regardless of the UI complexity and uniform input management across all devices, without the need for programming logic. Just plug and play for the artists.
